West Mineral Man Jailed on Weapons Charges
A West Mineral man faces weapons charges after Monday arrest. Authorities in Cherokee County executed a search warrant on a home in rural Cherokee County Monday, July 8, 2024, between Scammon and West Mineral. Cherokee County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 28-year-old Mark Mauser in connection to a shooting incident in which Mauser is alleged to have fired rounds at a nearby home where several children were present. During the search, deputies located and seized several firearms.

Joplin, MO – Joplin police responded to a call of a semi-truck that had rolled over on I44 yesterday morning. A semi-truck traveling east near mile marker 13 left the roadway and struck the median cable barriers causing it to roll over. Interstate traffic was affected for over six hours.
