New Oklahoma laws address sheriff's offices and school resource officers
ARDMORE, Okla. (KTEN) — It took over a year for House Bill 2914 to make its rounds through the legislature, first being read in April of 2023. Now law as of Monday, it's created the Oklahoma Sheriff's Office Funding Assistance Program. Sheriffs can submit grant applications to the attorney general’s office once each fiscal year to receive between $150,000 and $300,000 depending on qualifications.
