About 15% of Cherokee County’s registered voters cast a ballot in the May 21 primary elections, according to unofficial results.

Cherokee County Elections and Voter Registration reports 31,675 total ballots were cast, about 15% of the county’s total registered voters. Of those, 18,115 voters made their choice in the ballot box on Election Day, 12,288 voted early and 1,272 voted absentee.

Here are election results updated through Wednesday afternoon for the May 21 primary elections for Cherokee County, from the Georgia Secretary of State’s office.

For state elections; such as Georgia Supreme Court, Appeals Court, and state House and Senate; the totals include votes from outside Cherokee County.

Results are unofficial until they are certified.

The Cherokee County Board of Elections is scheduled to certify results at 2 p.m. May 28 at the Cherokee County Conference Center, 1130 Bluffs Parkway in Canton.
