Amicalola EMC Awards Operation RoundUp Grants

In July, Amicalola EMC’s Operation RoundUp board awarded grants totaling $18,150 to local nonprofits and qualifying individuals in need, the cooperative announced.

Among those receiving grants were Appalachian Mountain Scottish Rite Assoc., Boys & Girls Club of North Georgia, Creative Enterprises Dawson, Georgia Mountain Food Bank, Good Shepherd Clinic of Dawson County; Goshen Valley, Lamp Ministries, Meals by Grace, Pickens County Schools, R.M. Moore Elementary School STEM Academy and the Service League of Cherokee County.

Individuals received grants for food, home repairs, propane and shelter.

Co-op members who participate in Operation RoundUp contribute, on average, $6 annually.
