Baptist Health appoints president for regional hospitals
Baptist Health recently promoted Jay Quebedeaux to the role of president of regional hospitals for Baptist Health. Quebedeaux will now have operational responsibilities for all five of the health care system’s regional facilities in Arkadelphia, Heber Springs, Malvern, Monticello and Stuttgart. All Baptist Health regional hospital presidents will report to Quebedeaux.
Hendrix College hires Tyler Gum as director of development for athletics
Hendrix College named Tyler Gum as its inaugural Director of Development for Athletics. Gum will officially begin his role on Monday, August 19. Gum, a native of Conway, brings a background in athletic fundraising and operations, having earned both a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Sports Management from the University of Central Arkansas. Most recently, he served at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where he established a notable track record in enhancing athletic revenue and operations over the past four years.

BEARS COMPLETE FINAL FULL SCRIMMAGE
CONWAY, Ark. _ The University of Central Arkansas Bears knocked out nearly 90 plays on Saturday morning in their final full-scale scrimmage of fall camp. "I thought it was another good scrimmage day for us," said head coach Nathan Brown. "We were able to get around 90 plays and hit about every situation that would happen within a game. I was very pleased with the first offense today. I thought they improved from last week's scrimmage. We protected the ball better on offense and protected the quarterback very well today."
