Man killed in ambush outside Harrisburg concert had been live streaming the event
The Dauphin County Coroner’s office on Friday released the name of a man killed in an apparent drive-by shooting in midtown early Friday. Azar Hughes, 20, of Steelton, had just left a concert at the Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center (HMAC) when a car drove by and fired at him about 1:30 a.m., according to security guards at HMAC. The concert was restricted to those ages 21 and over, but people under 21 were allowed in if they’re supervised by someone over 25, under HMAC’s rules. Hughes was with his cousin, a promoter of the event who is over 25, according to John Traynor, founder of HMAC.

1 killed in shooting in midtown Harrisburg
A man was shot and killed in the 1100 block of Third Street, outside the Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center early Friday, police said. Officers were in the area when they heard shots fired around 1:30 a.m.. The officers immediately went to where the shots were coming from and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, police said.

High temperatures in the 90s forecast for central Pa. this weekend
The National Weather Service is calling for more weather in the low to mid-90s and possible thunderstorms throughout central Pennsylvania this weekend. The Harrisburg area is expected to have a high temperature near 92 on Friday with a 50% chance of precipitation after 1 p.m. Other places in central Pa., such as Lancaster and York will have heat indexes around 100 on Friday, the NWS said.
