Pa. Democrats rail against Supreme Court homeless decision
The U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Grants Pass v. Johnson that cities can punish people for sleeping in public has some Democrats in Pennsylvania seething. The high court said laws regulating camping on public property does not constitute “cruel and unusual punishment,” which is prohibited by the Eighth Amendment.
Powerboat racing returns to Allentown
The roar and excitement of powerboat racing returned to Allentown’s Adams Island in the Lehigh River on June 1. Racers from at least six states, all members of the Cocktail Class Wooden Boat Racing Association, competed in their “Skuas” in the first of the association’s seasonal races in the Mid-Atlantic and for the fifth time at Adams Island, according to Tom Kerr, one of the participants.

The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking public assistance in finding a 14-year-old girl named Milan Bryant, who went missing from the area of the 39xx block of Conshohocken Ave on Tuesday at around 10 a.m. According to the Philadelphia Police Department, Milan is described as being about 5'3" in height and weighs approximately 150 lbs., with brown eyes and black hair.
Harrisburg fireworks cut short after guns found on juveniles, several arrested: police
DAUPHIN COUNTY, PA. (WHP) — Multiple people were arrested at the Riverfront Park fireworks event Thursday night after police recovered several firearms on the scene.
