Junk food is unhealthy, but many people enjoy those empty calories. According to Casino.com, survey results updated in March this year, Virginians prefer three candies as their favorite.

I would have chosen M&M's, Hershey Bars, and Suckers, but respondents to the survey chose three candy brands that I do not care for: Nerds, Kit Kat Bars, and Sour Patch Kids.

Virginians have different tastes

Nerds were invented in 1983 and voted the candy of the year in 1985. Kit Kat Bars have been around since 1935, and Sour Patch Kids were introduced as Mars Men in 1970. The name was officially changed in 1985.
