The family of talk show diva Wendy Williams were unable to celebrate her 60th birthday by her side

Wendy's birthday was spent away from her loved ones

Virginia Wendy Williams fans, the latest update is not encouraging. The former talk show host turned 60 on July 18 without any of her loved ones around. According to Yahoo, family members remain "out of bounds" and have no access to Wendy as she battles dementia and progressive aphasia.

Williams' family has been trying unsuccessfully to keep in touch with her ever since the court-ordered guardianship began in April of 2022. PEOPLE spoke to a source who revealed the following.

"Wendy Williams’s family is unable to speak on her current condition and location due to ongoing litigation and the fact that they have largely been denied contact," the source says. "But they are all rooting and praying for Wendy and want to express their well wishes as she celebrates her 60th birthday."

There is no way for the family to know if she is improving or if her health issues are progressing which is sad, especially on her birthday.
