Cultural Christians don't fully embrace Jesus

UVA Today conducted a study on religious affiliation in Virginia. One group that was not covered is "Cultural Christians," whom Wikipedia describes as individuals who embrace Christ's teachings without believing He is the "only way" to heaven.

The Christian Post reports that Telsa founder Elon Musk admitted to being a cultural Christian when he said the opening Olympic ceremony was disrespectful to Christianity. Musk believes in Jesus' teachings, like turning the other cheek, but he has not made a personal profession of faith or been baptized.

    Cultural Christians who once believed

I recall seeing a conversation on Facebook last Easter Sunday with young people questioning how they felt about the holiday since walking away from Christianity. They were baptized and raised in the church but now reject much of what they once learned.

An example is Nicki B. from Roanoke County. She believes what Jesus taught is essential but questions how He can be the "only way." Nikki says she and other like-minded under-40 Virgians no longer identify as Christians. Their belief in the teachings of Jesus places them, like Elon Musk under the category of Cultural Christians.
