Boomerang will air on MAX

Cord Cutters reveals that Warner Bros/Discovery will discontinue the stand-alone Boomerang app on September 30 in a continued effort to streamline. The services will be transferred to MAX, so Virginians who have been using the streaming service but don't subscribe to Max will have to do so to view Boomerang content.

The good news is that Boomerang Zendesk reveals this change will not affect the Boomerang cable network. Virginians who already utilized MAX but did not subscribe to Boomerang on cable or use the app will gain the cartoons for free.

There will not be a rate increase now, but that could change. MAX has come under fire for taking over HBO and discontinuing some of the Looney Toons shorts, but only time will tell what will happen to Boomerang content.
