An ominous black sky ring over Williamsburg has yet to be identified

Residents across Williamsburg, Virginia, reported seeing an ominous black sky ring on Tuesday. WAVY News says calls began coming in around 11:00 a.m. about the mysterious sighting.

The images reminded me of the dark smoke rings left behind from airplanes when I lived in Botetourt County as a child, but they were never in a complete circle. One image of the sky ring was taken on Interstate 64 westbound near the Fort Eustis exit.

Fox 8 News received a video from a sighting at Eastern State Hospital and another from Waller Mill in Williamsburg. Total News says witnesses captured ten images from various angles. As of Thursday evening, no one had identified the strange phenomenon.
