Rain showers can discriminate

Many Baby Boomers in Virginia, grew up being told that if the sun was shinning while it rained the devil was beating his wife. I have not however, heard any folklore or a scientific explaination for when I see rainshowers on one side of a road but not the other, or its raining on one street and not the next one.

Viral Press shared a video in 2021 where the rain was on one side of the street but the other side was dry. A commenter said in the 1980s, they saw a rain-like curtain just in front of them, but it never touched where they were standing.

Amos 4:7 in the Bible mentions God sending rain in one city and not another, as for why the showers discriminate within close locations perhaps, some things are meant to be enjoyed without question.
