Benny Hinn admits Praise A Thons were gimmicks

A Facebook reel shows Televangelist Benny Hinn admitting that participating in TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network) Praise a Thons was a money-making gimmick. Virginia Minister Earl P. said Hinn's revelation came too late because he and others benefited financially from the televised fund-raisers.

In the 1990s, the Trinity Broadcasting Network was popular among Virginia Christians, including my family. Over time, I began to question the Praise Thon tactics. If financial blessings from God were automatic and based on giving, why did the network have to beg for money several times a year?

Lynn M. gave to TBN and says she is sad to hear that it was a money-making gimmick. Pastor Mitchell L. said he is thankful Benny Hinn admitted the truth and prays more eyes are opened.

Bishop Gary K. says people will still give to big ministries because they need something to believe in and hope it will pay off one day. Lee C says Hinn and the others should return the money but realizes this will never happen.
