Chesapeake woman wins six $30,000 lottery tickets

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A Chesapeake woman won big with six winning lottery tickets for the June 5 drawing.

Latoya Burke bought six tickets and used the same five numbers for the Virginia Lottery’s Pick 5 game. Those ended up being winning numbers. Each ticket was worth $30,000, totaling about $180,000 in winnings.

The winning numbers in that drawing were 5-5-5-5-0. She wagered 50/50, so matching all five numbers in exact order wins $30,000. She bought the tickets at Tinee Giant, located at 1001 Jackson Avenue in Chesapeake.

Pick 5 drawings are held daily at 1:59 p.m. and 11 p.m. The top prize for a $1 play is $50,000. The chances of matching all five numbers in exact order are 1 in 100,000.
