The Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association recently honored its top senior student-athletes for each high school. Chester Academy selected Nina Melone and Andre Jenkins.

Nina Melone
GPA: 95
Class Rank: 13
Varsity Sports: Soccer
Academic Honors/Extracurricular Activities: National Honor Society; Safe School Ambassadors; Key Club
Athletic Honors: Division All-Stars for Soccer 2023; Team Captain for Soccer (two years); Coaches Award for Soccer (two years)
Community Service: Helping to run an "Empty Bowls" charity food event through National Honor Society as a senior project; decorated the welcome board at the Sapphire Nursing Home; wrote thank-you cards to Veterans through Key Club; volunteered at a recreation soccer tournament in Greenwood Lake; helped organize emails for the Chamber of Commerce of Greenwood Lake; helped the Chamber set up and run mixers and town events
Future Plans: Russell Sage College, to major in Nutrition and Food Sciences with a minor in Exercise Science. Hopes to work as a dietician and personal trainer to help people live healthy lives and improve their physical abilities.
