City denies nuisance appeal after public hearing
Madison City Commissioners unanimously denied a nuisance appeal from Madison resident Marvin Parkinson at their July 15 meeting. The appeal regarded the determination of existence of a nuisance property at Parkinson's dwelling at 1039 West Center Street. The meeting featured a public hearing to discuss the issue, with commissioners hearing testimonials from city code enforcement officer Gary Zay, director of engineering and community development, Ryan Hegg, and Parkinson himself.
