Former WVU shooter Mary Tucker takes aim at the gold in Paris
CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A National Champion shooter at West Virginia University will make a second attempt at shooting for gold in the upcoming Paris Olympic Games. Mary Tucker, who spent her last two seasons of NCAA Rifle in Morgantown, will shoot the smallbore, air rifle, and mixed team events at the Paris games. It’s Tucker’s second Olympics. She qualified for all three events in Tokyo as well.

West Virginia native Todd Duncan became the third Mountaineer golfer to qualify for the sport’s top amateur event. Duncan shot -5 (65) in the first and only round of the Southeastern Amateur qualifying tournament at Country Club of Columbus golf course in Columbus, Georgia.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP (EYT) — State police in Franklin are investigating two incidents of criminal mischief that occurred along Route 257 in Cranberry Township, Venango County. According to PSP Franklin, the first incident occurred between June 19 and June 22, 2024, and the second incident occurred sometime on July 20, 2024.
