New kava tea bar debuts on Court Street
Over the past few weeks, a new kava tea bar, Big Run Kava Bar, has softly launched at 72 N. Court St., Athens. Although the new business has been open for a few weeks, they officially celebrated the opening on July 13 with a grand opening party. Athens hosts another successful Ohio Brew Week
Court Street hosted a crowd of well over 100 attendees on Saturday, when the Last Call event for Ohio Brew Week took place. The event blocked off a portion of the road and featured a wide variety of beer, food and merchandise booths along the sidewalks. ATHENS, OH – WOUB Public Media General Manager Mark Brewer is celebrating 25 years with the organization this month. He joined WOUB in July 1999 as director of public television programming and outreach. Brewer came to WOUB from KAWE/KAWB (now LakelandPBS) in Bemidji, Minnesota, but has been working in public media for four decades.
