Joyce Beatty brings a Treasury roadshow to Ohio
The Treasury Department has been hitting the road this summer to sell-slash-prepare small businesses for a new type of database designed to crack down on shell companies. Today, that show is rolling into Columbus, Ohio, courtesy of Democratic Rep. Joyce Beatty. It's the latest sign that years after the enactment of the Corporate Transparency Act, lawmakers are still doing whatever they can to make beneficial ownership reform a reality.
Buc-ee's in Ohio: Groundbreaking date announced for first store
HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio — A popular convenience store chain coming to Ohio now has a groundbreaking date. It's an update many in the area have been waiting to hear. Huber Heights Mayor Jeff Gore posted to his Facebook page, providing an update, saying the official groundbreaking for Buc-ee’s has been scheduled for Aug. 8.
Pork donation to Mid-Ohio Food Collective
In the 20 counties served by the Mid-Ohio Food Collective (MOFC), more than 170,000 meals are distributed each day, with the mission of ending hunger one nourishing meal at a time. To support this community-based nonprofit, the Ohio Pork Council, on behalf of Ohio’s pig farmers, has donated $3,000 in nutritious, high-quality, protein-filled pork as a part of their annual Pork Power program.
Tractor Supply Co. opens in Solon
On March 23, Tractor Supply Co. opened at 6025 Kruse Drive, Suite 100, in Solon. The store was opened to provide its customers with a location that was closer to where they live, Kasey Bagley, store manager, told the Cleveland Jewish News July 12. The company conducted a study on its customers and found that many from the area needed to travel in order to visit a store.
