Ohio Projects Expected to Create 1,600 Jobs, More Than $185M in Investments
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted announced the approval of eight projects that will create 1,664 new jobs and retain 2,201 jobs statewide. Recreational marijuana sales brings questions around quality assurance
WOODMERE, Ohio -- Two hours after adult-use sales began in Ohio last Tuesday, the lobby of AYR Dispensary in Woodmere was full of medical and recreational-use customers. “We’ve had probably 150 in the first hour,” Nick Karayianopoulos, the AYR store manager said. “And like the most patients we’ve had before today was about 210 for the whole day. So we’re seeing about five times the volume.”
