First Friday features artist Castelli

CHESTERTOWN — First Friday in Chestertown is a monthly event that celebrates the town’s vibrant arts and culture, inviting tourists to visit.

Galleries and studios open their doors to showcase their art.

At the MassoniArt gallery on June 7, Friday, local painter Marc Castelli's paintings were featured. Titled, "Chasing the Silver", the exhibit highlights 40 years of painting racing sails.

They will be on display until Aug.7.

Each painting displays Castelli's unique experience in the races.

Gallery owner, Carla Massoni, said this is a town with a lot of interesting sights, sounds and sensations.

"First Friday is an exciting part of the town," she added.

She encouraged people to stop in, chat and enjoy great art.
