    CHESTERTOWN POLICE

    May 10 Ofc T. Burke responded to the 800 block of Washington Avenue and took a report for a past theft via Cash App and mobile banking. Victim was referred to the District Court Commissioner’s Office to pursue charges.

    May 11 Ofc T. Burke responded to the 700 block of Washington Avenue for a report of an assault. Charges were pending at the time of this report.

    May 13 Pfc E. Nunez took a report for a past theft that occurred in the 300 block of Washington Avenue.

    May 14 Pfc E. Nunez and Cpl C. Schwink responded to the 400 block of High Street for a report of an assault in progress. Pfc Nunez referred three juvenile males to Juvenile Services for assault 2nd degree.

    May 14 Cpl C. Schwink responded to the 700 block of Washington Avenue for a report of a disorderly subject. The subject was identified. At the time of this report the case remained open and we were advised that charges may be pending.

    May 15 Ofc T. Burke took a report for a past theft that occurred in the 200 block of Silver Heel Drive. The case remained open at the time of this report.

    May 17 Pfc M. Srinivasan conducted a traffic stop in the area of Washington Avenue and the 100 block of Hadaway Drive. Pfc Srinivasan arrested Brian John Schatzinger, age 73, of Chestertown. Schatzinger was charged with driving under the influence and released. Court date was pending at the time of this report.

    May 18 Pfc M. Srinivasan observed a motor vehicle crash in the 200 block of High Street. After an investigation, Pfc Srinivasan arrested Christoper Charles Lorentz, age 75, of Chestertown. Lorentz was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and released. Court date was pending at the time of this report.

    May 23 Pfc M. Srinivasan responded to the Washington Square Plaza for a report of a past shoplifting. The investigation remained open at the time of this report.

    May 24 Pfc B. McGinnis conducted a traffic stop in the area of S. Cross Street and High Street. After an investigation, Pfc McGinnis arrested Taylor Reeves Maclaren Hewes, age 32, of Washington, D.C. Hewes was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and released. Court date was pending at the time of this report.

    May 25 Ofc T. Burke responded to the 100 block of Oak Leaf Drive for a report of a malicious destruction of property. The victim was referred to the District Court Commissioner to pursue charges.

    May 25 Ofc R. Thompson conducted a traffic stop in the area of High Street and Kent Street. After an investigation, the driver, Richard Wayne Achuff, Jr., age 42, of Earleville was charged with driving under the influence. Achuff was released on his own recognizance. Court date was pending at the time of this report.

    May 26 Pfc B. McGinnis responded to the 200 block of Maple Avenue and issued a Must Appear Traffic Citation to Maykon Alexis Niz Longo, age 31, of Goldsboro. Longo was charged with knowingly driving an uninsured motor vehicle. Court date was pending at the time of this report.

    May 26 Pfc B. McGinnis responded to the 800 block of High Street for a report of an assault. Pfc McGinnis referred a 16-year-old juvenile female to Juvenile Services for assault.

    May 27 Pfc M. Srinivasan took a report for a past theft that occurred in the area of Schooner Way. The case remained open at the time of this report.

    May 27 Pfc M. Srinivasan responded to the 100 block of Oak Leaf Drive for a report of a malicious destruction of property. The victim was referred to the District Court Commissioner’s Office to file charges.

    May 28 Cpl C. Schwink responded to the area of Washington Square and issued a Must Appear Criminal Citation to Michele Paige Kelley, age 55, of Kennedyville. Kelley was charged with trespassing. Court date was pending at the time of this report.

    May 29 Pfc B. McGinnis took a report for a past malicious destruction of property that occurred in the 400 block of S. Cross Street. The investigation was active at the time of this report.

    May 29 Cpl C. Schwink responded to the 200 block of Washington Avenue and issued a Must Appear Traffic Citation to Luis Fernando Barrios Mazariegos, age 22, of Marydel. Mazariegos was charged with driving a motor vehicle without required license and authorization. Court date was pending at the time of this report.

    June 1 Pfc E. Nunez responded to the 200 block of Scheeler Road and issued a Must Appear Traffic Citation to Anthony Michael Mallory, age 20, of Betterton. Mallory was charged with knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle. Court date was pending at the time of this report.

    KENT COUNTY SHERIFF

    May 28 Following a traffic stop, Cpl S. Lockerman arrested Paul Koronowski, age 65, of Rock Hall. Koronowski was charged with: driving under the influence of alcohol; driving while impaired by alcohol; and driving while under the influence of alcohol per se. Koronowski was released to a sober driver after being issued citations.

    May 28 DFC A. Freeman investigated an assault that occurred in the 23000 block of Baywood Court, Chestertown. The victim reported being assaulted by a known suspect. Under investigation at the time of this report.

    May 29 Cpl N. Blazejak investigated a malicious destruction of property in the 400 block of Cypress St., Millington. Windows were broken out of a vehicle on the property. The damage was estimated to be less than $1000. Under investigation at the time of this report.

    May 29 Cpl N. Blazejak served a Kent County Circuit Court Bench Warrant for failure to comply on David Lawrence Grant, age 44, of Chestertown. Grant was held at the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

    May 29 Cpl N. Blazejak investigated a reported sexual assault that occurred in the 23000 block of Woodsedge Drive, Chestertown. The victim reported being assaulted by a known suspect. Under investigation at the time of this report.

    May 30 Sgt S. Maloney investigated incidents in which the victim reported being sexually assaulted numerous times from 2016 to 2017 at an undisclosed location. Under investigation at the time of this report.

    May 31 Sgt S. Maloney investigated a report of the abuse of a vulnerable adult that occurred in the 25000 block of Still Pond Neck Road, Worton. This incident remained under investigation at the time of this report.

    May 31 Cpl P. Hudson investigated an assault that occurred in the 11000 block of Hackett Road, Worton. The victim reported being assaulted by a known suspect. This incident remained under investigation at the time of this report.

    May 31 Cpl P. Hudson investigated a malicious destruction of property that occurred in the 11000 block of Hackett Road, Worton. The victim reported that a fence and concrete planter were damaged. The damage is estimated to be more than $1500. This incident remained under investigation at the time of this report.

    June 1 DFC A. Freeman served a Kent County Circuit Court Bench Warrant for violation of probation on Shelton Maurice Wilson, age 40, of Centreville. Wilson was held at the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

    June 1 Cpl S. Lockerman investigated a theft that occurred in the 4200 block of Eastern Neck Road, Rock Hall. The victim reported that lumber valued at approximately $300 was stolen. Under investigation at the time of this report.

    June 3 D/S B. Collins served a Kent County District Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear on Deindai Emiya Farmer, age 22, of Dover, DE. Farmer was released by the District Court Commissioner on her own recognizance.

    June 3 Cpl K. Griffitts served a Kent County Circuit Court Arrest Warrant for first degree assault and associated charges on Christopher James Puzio, age 45, of Richmond Hill, NY. Puzio was held at the Kent County Detention Center without bond.
