    Tree falls onto home in Montgomery County

    MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — A tree fell onto a house in Chevy Chase during Wednesday afternoon’s storms.

    Crews with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) responded to the scene in the 7600 block of Blaine Drive at about 7 p.m.

    Pete Piringer, a spokesman for the department, posted photos of most of a massive tree embedded into the roof of the brick home.

    Despite considerable property damage, no one was hurt, Piringer noted.

    There were also downed wires in the area due to a wave of heavy rainfall and storms in the area.
