NJ police identify man who drowned in Cedar Lake Wildlife Management area
WILLIAMSTOWN, N.J. (CBS) -- A man who lived in Gloucester County drowned in the Cedar Lake Wildlife Management area in Williamstown on Thursday, Monroe Township police announced.Police said the man, identified by police as Rafael Martinez Pascual, 38, was swimming with friends in the area right off Jackson Road when he went underwater and never returned to the surface.The area where the group was swimming is closed for public access and swimming is prohibited, according to Wildlife Management Area regulations. Multiple emergency response services worked to find Pascual in the water utilizing divers, a watercraft, a helicopter and drones, police said.A rescue diver found Pascual's body around 5 p.m., police said, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The 38-year-old is a citizen of Mexico but lived in Pitman, N.J., police said.Authorities said Pascual was the fourth person to drown in Monroe Township this summer.Monroe Township Police Department and the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office are investigating the incident.

Man, woman hospitalized after being shot in Kensington
Investigators are looking into a shooting in the city's Kensington section.It happened around 3 a.m. Sunday.Police say a 22-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man drove themselves to the hospital after being shot.The female victim is said to have suffered a gunshot wound to the head.Investigators later found a scene at Tioga and Harville streets, and determined that was where the victims were attacked.No word on their current conditions.So far no arrests have been made.

Philadelphia YIMBY’s recent site visit has confirmed that construction work is complete at 2046-50 Lehigh Avenue in East Kensington. The building, located on the southwest side of the block between between Frankford Avenue and Amber Street, rises five stories and feature ground-floor commercial space as well as 21 residential units. Designed by Ambit Architecture, the structure spans 21,168 square feet and will feature parking for seven bicycles. Permits list Grit Construction as the contractor and a construction cost of $2.75 million.
