(670 The Score) The Bulls have already missed their best opportunity to overhaul their stale roster – the ideal time to do that would’ve been a year ago at the trade deadline or this past offseason – but as the NBA trade deadline looms this Thursday, Dan Bernstein and Laurence Holmes nonetheless assessed the present and pondered what Chicago could do to better set itself up for the future.

As Holmes put it, it’s time for the Bulls to create a new dream, and Bernstein echoed that vision.

"Old, capped, hurt, out of picks is not a way of doing business," Bernstein said of the Bulls. "There's got to be a plan for fixing at least one of those things.”

While two-time All-Star guard Zach LaVine has opted to have season-ending right foot surgery , essentially extinguishing the Bulls’ hope to trade him now, Chicago has a few other options to consider as the deadline awaits. That could include the Bulls looking to move star forward DeMar DeRozan, guard/forward Alex Caruso and/or reserve center Andre Drummond. DeRozan and Drummond are set to be unrestricted free agents this summer.

In the video player above, take a listen to what Bernstein and Holmes suggest the Bulls should do.
