(670 The Score) One of the key subplots of the Bears’ offseason is what they could get in return if they trade quarterback Justin Fields.

On the Mully & Haugh Show on Tuesday morning, the crew debated what they think is fair value for the 24-year-old Fields, who completed 61.4% of his passes for 2,562 yards, 16 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 13 games in 2023, when he had an 86.3 passer rating.

“I do think that you want to, if you’re Ryan Poles, hold fast for a second-round draft pick,” host David Haugh said. “I don’t know if you can get it. I don’t know if that’s going to be too high of a price. Only because of this – No. 1, this is a deep draft for quarterbacks. You look at teams, are they going to give up a second-rounder for an unproven starting quarterback?

“Secondly, I think in free agency you might be able to get a quarterback who doesn’t cost you a draft pick. So I do think a second-round pick is what I would ask for. I’m not convinced as we sit here in early February that the Bears are going to be able to get that, but I do think that’s where my asking price would go. And I don’t think you’re going to get much more than that.”

Executive producer Dustin Rhoades was more bullish on Fields’ trade value.

“I think a second-round pick is a no-brainer for Justin Fields – and a high second-round pick depending on how things play out,” Rhoades said.
