(670 The Score) Bears general manager Ryan Poles isn’t worried at all about USC quarterback Caleb Williams’ desire – or potentially lack thereof – to play in Chicago.

While rumors previously swirled that the projected top pick Williams and his camp would prefer for him to play somewhere other than Chicago as the Bears hold the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft, Poles downplayed that notion during a media session at the NFL Combine on Tuesday morning in Indianapolis.

“No, no, no concerns about that at all,” Poles said. “I would love to know why if that was the case. Like I said, I think when you have a young quarterback, I’ve been around it, the infrastructure is important, and I think we’ve made really good process in terms of having a really good infrastructure for whoever were to come in or if Justin (Fields) were to stay here.”

Fueling the rumors about Williams’ destination desire is that he’s a Washington D.C. native, and the quarterback-needy Commanders hold the No. 2 overall pick in the NFL Draft.

In early February, FS1 host Colin Cowherd created a firestorm when he suggested that Williams’ camp doesn’t want him to be drafted by the Bears. Cowherd later walked back that comment.

In his media session Tuesday, Poles didn't tip the Bears' hand at the quarterback position, saying they're still in the process of evaluating prospects.
