Report: Running back D'Andre Swift to join Bears on a 3-year deal

(670 The Score) The Bears have added a new weapon to their backfield.

Running back D’Andre Swift and the Bears have agreed on an three-year deal worth up to $24.5 million, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Monday as the NFL’s negotiating window opened. The deal includes $15.3 million in guaranteed money, Schefter reported.

Swift, 25, will give Chicago an explosive playmaker out of the backfield as they look to improve an offense that ranked 18th in the NFL in scoring in 2023. He rushed for 1,049 yards and five touchdowns for the Eagles last season, when he averaged 4.6 yards per carry. He also had 39 catches for 214 yards and a score.

Swift was selected by the Lions in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft and spent his first three seasons in Detroit. He has averaged 4.6 yards per carry for his career.
