(670 The Score) Bears star receiver DJ Moore is thrilled to have a dynamic new weapon alongside him on the team’s offense.

The Bears acquired six-time Pro Bowl receiver Keenan Allen from the Chargers last Thursday evening in exchange for a fourth-round pick. Allen has 10,530 receiving yards and 59 touchdowns in his 11-year NFL career, and he’s coming off a 2023 campaign in which he posted 1,243 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.

That will pair well alongside Moore’s production after Moore had 96 catches for 1,364 yards and eight touchdowns in 2023, his first season in Chicago.

“It was exciting when I saw it and heard about it,” Moore said on the Mully & Haugh Show on Thursday morning. “I was like, ‘Whoa, now we got more weapons for this run we want to make in 2024 with winning games.’”

Moore doesn’t know Allen personally, but he’s plenty familiar with him as a player.

“His game has spoken for it all,” Moore said. “He’s a savvy route runner. He sets people up and makes people look silly out there. I’m looking forward to learning from him.”

Moore added he’s happy to share the workload with Allen.

"It doesn't really matter to me,” Moore said of who gets the ball. “I know we've both talked about how we're going to complement each other. So I'm just looking forward to that. It might be a race to 1,000 (yards), but that's just a friendly competition. At end of the day, if we're winning, whoever is catching the ball, I don't really care.”

Moore also reflected on the Bears’ trade of quarterback Justin Fields to the Steelers last Saturday. The move cleared the path for the Bears to select USC quarterback Caleb Williams with the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft on April 25.

"Whoever we get, I'm going to be excited to work with,” Moore said. “Business is business. Nobody wanted (Fields) to go, but at the end of the day, that's what the organization made the plans to do.”
