Parkins & Spiegel: In what scenario could the Bears look to trade up for Ohio State star receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.?

(670 The Score) With the Bears preparing to select USC quarterback Caleb Williams at No. 1 overall, the intrigue for them in the NFL Draft lies with the No. 9 overall selection.
Will the Bears use that pick to give Williams support on the offensive side of the ball for years to come? If the answer is yes, that almost certainly means the Bears will select a wide receiver or an offensive tackle. The wide receiver position is particularly deep in this draft class, with Marvin Harrison Jr. (Ohio State), Malik Nabers (LSU) and Rome Odunze (Washington) projected to go in the top 10 by most talent evaluators.
The expectation is Harrison will be long gone by No. 9, but could the Bears look to trade up to select him? In their Poles Position segment Monday, Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel debated whether it would be wise for Chicago to do that.
In Parkins’ mind, the answer is no – unless a certain scenario plays out. If Harrison falls out of the top five and closer to No. 9, the cost might be palatable enough for the Bears to make a move up a few spots.
“I think the only way this is in the cards is if Marvin Harrison Jr. starts to fall a little bit, if it gets to the point where maybe quarterbacks go with the first four, Nabers goes in front of Marvin Harrison Jr. and Joe Alt goes off the board,” Parkins said. “If Marvin Harrison Jr. is there at seven, are you willing to trade Carolina’s (2025) second-round pick to get him?”
“I don’t think you can give up future draft capital,” Spiegel said.
"I don't want to give it up either," Parkins said. "But that's because I think Odunze is going to be there (at No. 9), and I think he's going to be great and the makeup is great and the highlights are great and that's excellent. And so then I'll take Odunze and the Panthers' pick and the two second-rounders (in 2025)."
