(670 The Score) It just keeps getting worse for the White Sox.

Third baseman Yoan Moncada is the latest core player to suffer an injury, as he was hurt running to first base and then helped off the field during the second inning in Cleveland on Tuesday evening. The team called it a left adductor strain, which is the same injury that recently sidelined slugger Eloy Jimenez.

Moncada will almost certainly end up on the injured list, joining Jimenez and star center fielder Luis Robert Jr. (right hip flexor strain) there. All three have been injured within the first 11 games of the new season.

The White Sox posted five runs in the first inning against the Guardians, who came back with five runs by the end of the fourth inning to tie the game. The White Sox entered action Tuesday with the worst record in the big leagues at 1-9.

The White Sox will provide further updates on Moncada's status as they're made available.
