(670 The Score) Amid the White Sox's MLB-worst 2-13 start, there are many reasons for disappointment. One of the most disheartening factors has been first baseman Andrew Vaughn's continued struggles.

The 26-year-old Vaughn is hitting .185 with no home runs and three RBIs in 15 games. The No. 3 overall pick in 2019, Vaughn was tabbed as a slugger for the White Sox's future, but he has posted a slash line of .253.313/.413 through parts of four MLB seasons.

Despite those woes, NBC Sports Chicago analyst Steve Stone believes that the hard contact that Vaughn produces will ultimately lead to him having greater success at the plate.

“I don’t really worry about him,” Stone said on the Mully & Haugh Show on Monday morning. “I think this should be his breakout year. You’re talking about the age-27 is where both pitchers and hitters, they’re going to get most of their best work from that date forward. I’m pretty sure Andrew is going to turn this season around. We’re looking 15 games in, but I think Andrew can hit, I think he’s shown that in the past and I think he’s going to hit. He just has not hit consistently yet.”

The struggling White Sox lost 11-4 to the Reds on Sunday at Guaranteed Rate Field, marking the third time in five series they've been swept this season. They have scored just 34 runs in 15 games amid the worst start in franchise history.

The White Sox host the Royals on Monday evening at Guaranteed Rate Field.
