(670 The Score) The intrigue surrounding the Bears as the start of the NFL Draft looms Thursday has nothing to do with their No. 1 overall pick, which they’ll use on USC quarterback Caleb Williams.

It has everything to do with the No. 9 overall pick they hold. While standing pat should give the Bears the choice of a premier wide receiver, a blue-chip offensive tackle or the top defensive player in the draft, there has also been plenty of talk about Chicago trading up or down.

So, what are the chances the Bears trade up? More specifically, could they trade up to No. 5 overall if Ohio State star receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is available there?

Tribune reporter Brad Biggs doesn’t envision that happening, as he explained on the Mully & Haugh Show on Monday morning.

“I think that would be really cost prohibitive,” Biggs said. “You’d have to give up an awful lot to move from 9 to 5. They’d have to want your first-round pick next year, right? I don’t think that there would be a discrepancy in grades between Marvin Harrison Jr. and Rome Odunze to make that move. Maybe I’m wrong, but that to me would be a bit of a stretch because then you’re already looking ahead to 2025 without a first-round pick. I think you stay put.”
