Fulton Market Will Have A Double Feature With a New Concept and Reopening From Shoyu Hospitality

According to a recent article from the Chicago Eater , a new concept will soon debut called Palilgu at 819 W Fulton Market.

“Palilgu is a new Korean concept from Shoyu Hospitality. We operate Ramen Wasabi, Nomonomo Pub + Grill, Nomonomo Sushi, and Menya Goku. Palilgu will be a modern and traditional Korean pub and grill,” partner Satoko Takeyama told What Now Chicago .

“We plan to open dinner service in mid-May and lunch service will open later. Some of our small plates are more modern, and soup and rice will be more traditional with a full bar. All dishes are meant to be shared.”

The Chicago Eater article that was previously mentioned states, “The space previously housed Ramen Takeya, also owned by the Ramen Wasabi team, which closed in May 2023 after a nine-year run. On Instagram, patrons can get a preview of dishes like spicy soft tofu stew with kimchi and pork belly, Korean seafood pancakes, and kimchi fried rice.”
