LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) The Bears weren't done in the NFL Draft after all.

After exhausting all of their draft capital early Saturday afternoon, the Bears traded a 2025 fourth-round pick to the Buffalo Bills to move into the fifth round of this draft, where they selected Kansas pass rusher Austin Booker at No. 144 overall.

Booker had eight sacks and 12 tackles for a loss over 12 games last season, when he earned first-team All-Big 12 honors. He projects to start opposite of Pro Bowl pass rusher Montez Sweat, filling a significant need for Chicago's defense.

The Bears selected Booker with the fifth-round pick that they initially owned. They had traded the selection to the Bills in March to acquire veteran offensive lineman Ryan Bates.

Booker is the fifth player selected in this draft by the Bears, along with USC quarterback Caleb Williams, Washington receiver Rome Odunze, Yale offensive tackle Kiran Amegadjie and Iowa punter Tory Taylor.
