(670 The Score) Former Pro Bowl receiver T. J. Houshmandzadeh knows well what makes a great player at his position.

From his view, Houshmandzadeh sees the potential for greatness in new Bears receiver Rome Odunze, whom he spent time training this offseason. Chicago selected Odunze with the No. 9 overall pick in the NFL Draft last week.

“Big, fast, ball skills are really crazy,” Houshmandzadeh said of Odunze on the Parkins & Spiegel Show on Wednesday. “That’s the thing that stood out to me, was make a hard catch look really easy and that right there is difficult to do. And he makes that look easy. He’s a big dude and he can run.

“He can really drop his weight to be 6-3. There’s really nothing he can’t do.”

The 6-foot-3, 212-pound Odunze hauled in 92 receptions for 1,640 yards and 13 touchdowns last season, when he was a key figure in Washington's run to the national championship game.

Houshmandzadeh was asked whether he has a comparison for Odunze’s potential.

“I don’t have a comp because it’s very rarely you see a guy with his size that can run like that, that can drop their weight and runs routes, ball skills,” he said.
