Cubs activate Seiya Suzuki, place Dansby Swanson on 10-day injured list

(670 The Score) The Cubs got a key player back Friday but also lost one.

Chicago activated outfielder Seiya Suzuki from the injured list and placed shortstop Dansby Swanson on the 10-day injured list ahead of its game at Pittsburgh in the evening. Suzuki had been sidelined since April 14 with a right oblique strain, while Swanson is currently dealing with a right knee sprain. Swanson’s placement on the injured list is retroactive to Wednesday.

Suzuki is hitting .305 with three homers, 13 RBIs and an .893 OPS in 15 games this season. Swanson is hitting .209 with four homers, 12 RBIs and a .626 OPS in 37 games.
