(670 The Score) Bulls general manager Marc Eversley is among the candidates the Pistons are considering to fill their vacant president of basketball operations role, according to multiple reports.

Eversley has been in his job in Chicago since April 2020, when executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas hired him as his top lieutenant. Prior to that, he worked in the front offices of the 76ers, Wizards and Raptors. The Pistons expressed interest in Eversley back in 2020 before he joined the Bulls.

Eversley doesn’t appear to be the Pistons’ primary target, as they’re eyeing Timberwolves president of basketball operations Tim Connelly. His Wolves are tied 2-2 in their Western Conference semifinal series against the Nuggets, so it may be a bit before Connelly’s future is decided.

Pelicans general manager Trajan Langdon and Mavericks executive Dennis Lindsey are also in the mix for the Pistons’ top job, according to reports. The Pistons were an NBA-worst 14-68 this past season.

In other Bulls news that emerged Monday, assistant coach Josh Longstaff will leave his job with Chicago for one with the Charlotte Hornets, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reported. Lead assistant Chris Fleming previously parted ways with the Bulls, and veteran assistant Maurice Cheeks is moving to a new role with the organization. That means head coach Billy Donovan’s staff will look much different next season.
