Chicago Bears Preseason Schedule 2024: Opponents, Dates, Times, How to Watch

As the NFL pushes toward an 18-game schedule in the coming years, less emphasis is being placed on preseason games. The four-game exhibition slate was trimmed to three in 2021, save for a few exceptions. The Chicago Bears are one of those exceptions as they'll play four preseason games to prepare for the 2024 season .

Chicago was selected to face the Houston Texans in the 2024 Hall of Fame Game , an annual NFL event that celebrates past greats and marks the unofficial kickoff to football season. Riding plenty of excitement from significant offseason upgrades, the Bears will face the Houston Texans at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio on Aug. 1 at 7 PM CT.

After the special event, the Bears begin their standard three-game preseason slate. They'll travel to face the Buffalo Bills on Aug. 10, host the Cincinnati Bengals on Aug. 17, and visit the Kansas City Chiefs on Aug. 22.

With high expectations surrounding Caleb Williams, a four-game preseason schedule may be beneficial. An extra game means the rookie quarterback will have extra reps to acclimate to the NFL game and his Bears teammates before the real deal begins in September.
