Andre Drummond's 2024 NBA free agency market will be robust with contending teams, per Evan Sidery of Forbes Sports and The Sporting News . Sidery mentioned the Phoenix Suns and Philadelphia 76ers as potential suitors for the veteran center, who spent the past two seasons with the Chicago Bulls.

Drummond was also reported to be a popular 2024 trade deadline target for multiple NBA contenders.

The Bulls signed the big man during the 2022 NBA offseason using a portion of their non-taxpayer midlevel salary cap exception and do not own Drummond's Bird Rights , per Spotrac .  Without Drummond's Bird Rights, it's unlikely the Bulls will be in a position to make a competitive offer to retain him entering 2024-25 while avoiding the NBA luxury tax.

The Bulls are $41,358,176.00 under the luxury tax and have notable free agency decisions to make regarding DeMar DeRozan and Patrick Williams.
