(670 The Score) The White Sox activated star center fielder Luis Robert Jr. and placed outfielder Tommy Pham (ankle sprain) on the 10-day injured list amid an array of roster moves Tuesday afternoon before opening a two-game series against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.

The White Sox also placed outfielder Dominic Fletcher (shoulder strain) on the 10-day injured list, recalled outfielder Zach DeLoach from Triple-A Charlotte, selected the contract of outfielder Duke Ellis from Double-A Birmingham and designated infielder Zach Remillard for assignment.

Robert has been sidelined since April 5 because of a right hip flexor. He was hitting .214 with two homers and four RBIs in seven games before he was hurt. He was coming off an All-Star campaign in 2023.

Pham has been arguably the White Sox’s best hitter in recent weeks, batting .280 with three homers and 12 RBIs in 33 games this season. He was hurt while being tagged out on a slide into home plate in the eighth inning in Chicago's loss at Milwaukee on Sunday. Pham went out of his way to slide directly into Brewers catcher William Contreras on the play as Contreras left the plate open for him, as is required by rules.

Fletcher injured his shoulder making a home run-robbing catch in a loss to the Brewers on Sunday. He’s hitting .173 with six RBIs in 28 games for the White Sox this season.

DeLoach was batting .281 with two homers and 21 RBIs in 44 games at Triple-A this season. He went 0-for-5 in a recent short stint with the White Sox in May.

Ellis, 26, was hitting .258 with one homer, 12 RBIs and 34 stolen bases in 35 attempts in 39 games at Double-A this season. He has no MLB experience.

Remillard hit .242 with one RBI in 15 games for the White Sox this season.
