MiMi’s Tacos and French Fries Is Now MiMi’s Craft Kitchen

According to a recent permit filing, MiMi’s Tacos and French Fries has filed for a new location at 1352 W Taylor Street.

“We anticipate being open by July 1st and having a grand opening 2-3 weeks after that. Our current menu will be available during our initial soft opening with newer items added to that menu for the grand opening,” owner Dominic Freeman told What Now Chicago .

“The interior dining room is finished in natural tones, splashed with vibrant colors, and trimmed with antique wood. Plenty of TVs are available for viewing live sporting events. The exterior patio can seat 38 people and will be open for full beverage and dining service whenever weather permits.”

“We enjoy making dishes from scratch because it allows us to layer unique flavors. Our seasonings, marinades, and sauces including chipotle aioli, jerk sauce, and consommé are all made from scratch daily.”

“Initially opening April 14, 2021, we pride ourselves on being a locally owned small business that has never used a plastic bag or a styrofoam container! We have grown in popularity due to Instagram, TikTok, and the many local workers craving tacos & burgers that fill out our lobby during lunchtime. Our menu is handcrafted and nothing contains artificial colors or flavors, including our Italian ice.”

‘MiMi’ is a general nickname for the elder women in my family, a term of endearment like mama! Most Grandmas are GiGi, aunts are TiTi, and motherly figures are MiMi! We credit our loyal customer base for helping us grow into our new location. We can now carry our same values into a larger space and across a larger menu.”
