    Body pulled from Lake Michigan near Montrose Beach, police say

    CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A death investigation is underway after a body was retrieved from Lake Michigan near Montrose Beach.

    According to Chicago Police, first responders pulled an unresponsive 22-year-old man from the water near the 4500 block of N. Simonds Drive, shortly after 4:30 a.m.

    He was transported to Weiss Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His name has not yet been released.

    The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office will be conducting an autopsy, police said.
