Man wounded in shooting at CTA Orange Line stop 02:06

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was wounded in a shooting Wednesday afternoon at a CTA Orange Line station in the Bridgeport neighborhood.

Police said two men got into a fight at the Halsted stop on the Orange Line around 12:20 p.m., and during the fight a 44-year-old man was shot in the foot.

The victim was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.

Orange Line service was disrupted between the Adams/Wabash and Ashland stops for about 50 minutes after the shooting, but normal service has since resumed.

No one was in custody Wednesday afternoon.

    Area One detectives were investigating.

Two days earlier, a CTA bus driver was wounded and a passenger was killed in a shooting on board a bus in the Bronzeville neighborhood.

Police said two men were fighting in the back of the bus at 33rd and State streets when one of them pulled out a gun and shot the other. The passenger, a man in his 20s, died. The bus driver was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition with a gunshot wound to the shoulder.
