For just the second time ever, NASCAR is headed to the Windy City for the Chicago Street Race. We’ve got nine great paint schemes picked out. The Grant Park 165 has a few special designs that fans are going to love.

Last season we were treated to a wild Chicago Street Race weekend. Historic rainfall put a bit of a damper on things. No concerts, no festival atmosphere, none of that. But the weekend wasn’t entirely lost. Shane van Gisbergen made sure of that.

Now, here we are a year later. Year two of the Chicago Street Race is around the corner. Let’s get into the best paint schemes hitting Lake Shore Drive.

Ross Chastain No. 1 Busch Light Peach Chevy

Ross Chastain is trading in the watermelon for peaches this weekend. Busch Light brings back the fruity summer beer for drinkers and NASCAR fans.

The Trackhouse Racing version of this car is great. Their take on the Busch Light brand has been a lot of fun to see this season. 8/10.

Chase Briscoe No. 14 Mahindra Tractors Ford

Of course it’s Fourth of July weekend. We couldn’t have this list without some of the best red, white, and blue looks in the field.

Something about this Mahindra design draws my eye. A great look for Chase Briscoe at the Chicago Street Race. Briscoe is headed to Joe Gibbs Racing in 2025, will we continue to see Mahindra in the sport? 8.5/10.

Shane van Gisbergen No. 16 Wendy’s Saucy Nuggs Chevy

I included the saucy nuggs design for two reasons: SVG is the defending winner of this race, and it reminds me of the old Kraft Mac n Cheese commercials.

That orange, saucy goo looks delicious and on this black car, it makes it stand out. Interesting, to say the least. 7.5/10.

Christopher Bell No. 20 Craftsman Racing For a Miracle Toyota

Craftsman is back in the sport and that means we are seeing them once again with Christopher Bell. The Racing For a Miracle initiative is a great one, and it’s awesome to see it return.

Bell is going to be a sneaky contender, I think. Keep an eye out for this 20 car on Sunday, it helps that it looks badass. 8.5/10.

Bubba Wallace No. 23 McDonald’s Toyota

There is no other team reaching new and younger audiences than 23XI Racing right now. This latest McDonald’s paint scheme for Bubba Wallace is the latest example of that.

The No. 23 car is sporting the Jumutsu Kaisen paint scheme, and it looks wicked. This car probably looks even better in person. 9/10.

Michael McDowell No. 34 Chicago White Sox Ford

Can’t go to Chicago without injecting a stick and ball sport somewhere. The White Sox are once again on a car, this time with Michael McDowell.

The Chicago Street Race wouldn’t be the same without a true local sponsor. While the White Sox have a long way to go on the diamond, McDowell could give them something to cheer about Sunday. 9.5/10.

Tyler Reddick No. 45 Jordan Brand Toyota

Speaking of Chicago sports, nothing is more Chicago than Michael Jordan, right? This Jordan Brand scheme featuring the iconic Jumpman photo that inspired the eventual Jordan logo.

Tyler Reddick already won a race with MJ attending in person, now it’s time to do it with the man’s actual face on the car. 10/10.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. No. 47 Mariano’s/Colgate Chevy

Shoutout to JTG Daugherty Racing. They continue to have some of the best paint schemes in the Cup Series. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is not a stranger on this paint schemes list.

Colgate went simple, but it is effective. You will see this car stand out on the track and that is exactly what sponsors want from their drivers. It reminds me a lot of his Coca-Cola schemes from last season. 8.5/10.

Daniel Suárez No. 99 Jockey/Folds of Honor Chevy

Another Fourth of July-inspired paint scheme. Jockey and Folds of Honor are together once again with Trackhouse Racing.

The 99 car needs a good run or two to get itself pointed in the right direction. The Playoffs are not far away. Great looking car for the Chicago Street Race. 9/10.
