Bulls, Kings discussing blockbuster trade that could be done 'within 24-48 hours'

Trade discussions between the Chicago Bulls and Sacramento Kings are progressing rapidly.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski appeared on SportsCenter on Friday and revealed that Chicago and Sacramento could come to terms on a deal over the next 24-48 hours.

At the center of the trade talks is DeMar DeRozan, whom Sacramento seeks to acquire in a sign-and-trade scenario with Chicago.

What the Bulls and Kings are searching for right now is a third team to get involved in the deal, as Chicago is trying to avoid taking on any significant contracts in the exchange.

"They're gonna need a third team involved in a sign-and-trade," Wojnarowski said. "Chicago, while they certainly are willing to help facilitate helping DeMar DeRozan get more than the mid-level exception on a team that doesn't have cap space, they don't want to take back ... significant contracts. They'll need a third team to route a bigger salary to. Those conversations continue ... I think Sacramento right now is the team to watch ... as the moratorium ends here over the next 24-48 hours."

It would be a surprise victory for the Bulls to land any kind of return for DeRozan, who reportedly wants nothing to do with Chicago.

Will the Bulls' brass take care of business and loop in a third team this weekend so that Chicago can effectively move on from the DeRozan saga?
