NASCAR Cup Series driver Shane Van Gisbergen.

For the second year in a row at the Chicago Street Course, it was Shane van Gisbergen who made the the winning move late in the race.

After leading early and winning Stage 1, van Gisbergen was set behind the eight-ball due to varying pit strategies. However, the driver of the No. 97 Chevrolet Camaro battled back, eventually making his way to second place with three laps to go.

On lap 48 of 50, van Gisbergen got around Talladega winner Jesse Love and never looked back, pulling away from Ty Gibbs to win his third race of the 2024 Xfinity Series season.

van Gisbergen and fellow star Kyle Larson put on an incredible display of racing in Stage One, with both drivers swapping the lead multiple times. After van Gisbergen got around Larson for a crucial stage win, both drivers found themselves outside of the top 20.

Helped by a rash of late-race cautions, both van Gisbergen and Larson made their way back into the top five, with Larson clawing his way back to finish third.

Love came home fifth, though a top-five finish was small consolation for a young driver who seemed primed to steal a win from the heavy favorites.

Parker Kligerman came home fourth, with Connor Mosack and Austin Hill finishing sixth and seventh, respectively. Joey Logano, Justin Allgaier and Austin Green rounded out the top 10.

Other notable finishers from Saturday's race include AJ Allmendinger in 11th, Sammy Smith in 13th, Ryan Sieg in 16th, Sheldon Creed in 26th and Riley Herbst in 28th.

Due to an engine failure on lap five, Chandler Smith finished last in Saturday's race.

The Xfinity Series' next race will be next Saturday at Pocono, where the field will try to tame the 2.5-mile "Tricky Triangle."
