Austin Green has only made four Xfinity Series starts so far in 2024, but he's managed to turn heads every time he hits the racetrack.

Saturday at the Chicago Street Course marked another strong day for the 23-year-old driver, who drove from 19th to 10th over the course of the 50 laps of The Loop 110 for his third top-10 finish in four 2024 starts.

What makes Green's performances so impressive is the fact that he usually has to drive through the field in order to get to the front. Saturday's 19th-place start was his best qualifying effort in four starts and while he likely wants to improve his qualifying performance, things usually seem to work out.

At COTA – Green's Xfinity Series debut – he finished seventh after starting 25th. At Portland, he finished 15th after starting 26th. And at Sonoma, he found his way through the carnage and into the top-five late, capitalizing for a fourth-place finish.

Saturday's The Loop 110 was just another example of what most of the NASCAR world already knows – Green obviously has gobs of talent waiting to be fully recognized. His Jordan Anderson Racing cars certainly aren't backmarkers, but Green has consistently outrun his teammates on pure pace when he's been in races.

If given an opportunity – either full-time or part-time – in top-tier equipment, it doesn't seem foolish to think that Green could be a contender for multiple race wins.

Until he gets that chance, however, Green's true potential in NASCAR is all speculation.

The next Xfinity Series road course race is scheduled to run on Sept. 14 at Watkins Glen. If given another opportunity behind the wheel of the No. 32 car, don't be surprised if Green impresses yet again.
