WNBA history was in the cards for Angel Reese on Sunday.

Just a day after Caitlin Clark did something no rookie has ever done before, the Sky forward had a chance to do something no WNBA player has ever done by recording her 13th consecutive double-double.

Reese kept her streak alive in Chicago's win over the Storm on Friday, pouring on 27 points in addition to 10 rebounds. It was a closer call than her previous game, which saw her post 19 rebounds, but the scoring output was astounding from the All-Star. She kept it going on Sunday, getting her record-breaking double-double fittingly on a put-back layup early in the second half.

With Reese breaking Candace Parker's record, she now has her sights on the single-season double-double record. That belongs to Sun star Alyssa Thomas, who recorded 28 double-doubles just a season ago. After Sunday, Reese needs 14 double-doubles over her final 20 games to match Thomas' mark.

The Storm were necessarily focused on preventing another double-double from Reese, but they were looking to slow her down offensively after such a dominant performance by the rookie on Friday.

Here's a complete look at Reese's stats from Sky vs. Storm on Sunday as she pursues WNBA history.

Angel Reese highlights vs. Seattle Storm

Reese was impressive for much of her contest with the Storm, showcasing improved footwork and touch while continuing to cause problems on the defensive end of the floor. She dazzled with a stunning spin move and left-handed finish over Mercedes Russell.

That wasn't the only highlight of the day for the Bayou Barbie. She flashed her budding face up game with an elegant jumper from the mid-range — one set up by one of her patented offensive boards.

All told, it's been a fairly delightful display for the rookie All-Star. More valuably, it's been a historic one, too; with a third quarter basket, Reese took full possession of the record for most consecutives double-doubles in league history.
